Hello!

I'm on a blogation. I'll still be reading your posts through Google reader or Bloglines every few days so I can keep up with what's happening in your lives/head. As always, you can email me - shmeder at gmail.

I won't be coming back here.

George Costanza

We were talking about MySpace on Saturday night and a friend said that he read my blog and it took him a few hours to read it. He was very complimentary about my writing (in regards to some really old posts) and it made me feel yummy. The postings I have on MySpace take about 5 minutes to read if you are lucky. At that point, I knew he was talking about this blog, my real blog. I knew it was inevitable - shit, that is my picture that I posted. If I really wanted to keep this top secret then I would have never added the Colorado Blogger's link.

Anyway, I added a blogger's disclaimer link to the left in case anyone cares.

Feh. Worlds Collide.

I went back to haloscan for comments. I like that I can edit my own spelling errors and I'm sick of typing the word verification. Fuck it. Bring on the spammers. Blogger calls it 'word verification' but wouldn't 'multiple letter verification' be more accurate? Has anyone ever had their verification be an actual word?

My next topic: Lurking? Should I care or am I just a freak?

Good times... this happened for a reason

I finally found a reason for MySpace.com. I lost touch with my friend Jim in the late 90s and found him today on MySpace. I sent him a message with my phone number and we talked for an hour or so to catch up. We go back pretty far - his mother was my CCD teacher (aka religious studies) when we were growing up. He introduced me to a great guy that I dated for 2 years in the late 90s. I'll be at the Candle Light Tavern tonight so he might show up. He doesn't have a phone of any sort except at work so I will see him when I see him.

Kevin, Kevin and Mike are returning...

Thanks Daniel, I'm fine - just busy trying to get ready for school and trying to figure out money and work and and and...

These guys are coming to town next month. They stayed with me and my sister when they were in town in 1997:

I'm not sure if I want to invite them to crash at my house again. They were great house guests - I just don't know about my schedule yet.

You might notice that I started to delete entries. I know I put too much personal stuff in this thing and the paranoia gets to me sometimes. I guess some of the stuff is personal enough that it would piss off or annoy people that know me. Therefore, I'm removing a bunch. I still have access to them - my readers don't. Just email me and I will tell you what ever you want if my entries start to be too platonic.

What the hell...

I've been fighting my annual fall sinus infection this past month. I called in sick to work today and went to the doctor. She's afraid I might have a clogged salivary gland and that is why the left side of my neck is a giant swollen mess. Seriously, I look like no-neck football guy. It's bizarre. It hurts like hell. I never had this much throat pain in my life. I can barely swallow and when I do I wince. She made sure that I get to the emergency room if I have any issues breathing or if I can no longer swallow. That scared the piss out of me. I knew that I was sick but I hate finding out I'm sicker than I thought. Now I have a friend that is calling me in the morning to make sure I answer.

She referred me to an ear, nose, and throat specialist for next week because she has never seen anything like this. Then she gave me a bunch of prescriptions - antibiotics, and something for acid reflux so I can continue taking ibuprofen for the inflammation and pain. She also told me to add tylenol to my cocktail.

I got my costume!!

My Grandpa is so cool. His phonograph museum made the newspaper! Notice his bitchin' bolo tie in the pic. He amazes me. They misquoted my Aunt Ann about only five kids in the family - my Grandparents had nine kids. Otherwise, the article is accurate.

Yep. My Halloween costume is almost complete. I just need a few more accessories and then I am done. I learned my lesson not to wait until the last minute because you end up with all the shitty stuff no one wants.
