Snappy shirts rule!

Some guy... don't know his name. Posted by Picasa

It started as a normal mellow evening...

We went to a lame ass BBQ in Congress Park where the hostess asked us if we wanted bubbly or plain aqua. Aqua? That was just a torturous hour.

Then we went to a roof top birthday party at 11th and Cherokee. I'm a lucky girl and live in Denver where there is generally more men than women when I go out. The ratio was not in our favor and 80% of the men were shorter than we prefer (a friend of mine is 5'11"). We left.

The plan was to meet at The Pourhouse. That's fine but I like Nallen's and Jeff is the best doorman ever. I had to go to Nallen's. I was sober as sober can be. A few shots of Jager and a drink or two and I was ready to meet up with everyone else at The Pourhouse. Here's my thing with Nallen's - they put liquor in their drinks. We closed down The Pourhose. We weren't ready for bed yet and jumped in a cab to an after hours party.

I forgot it was the scooter convention this weekend we just happened upon (not really - a PBR rep gave my friends the info at The Garage earlier) their party at 35th and Wynkoop. Good times. We walked in and the DJ was Paul that I met a few years ago when I experimented with online dating. Nice guy - just no chemistry. I think I unsuccessfully met 3 or 4 guys that summer. Then I would turn around and talk about them in "A Chapter in the Life of a Single Girl" on KRFC in Fort Collins on Friday nights. I took Paul to Fort Collins with me one night to do the show. That was the last time I saw him until last night.

We danced, we drank free PBRs and then we realized we were in Egypt. I crashed at about 5:30am at a friends house. Then I called a cab to pick me up to drive me to my car at 15th and Wazee.

I'm still having a hard time forming full sentences today. I'll see what I can muster tomorrow.

Sushi Hai Happy Hour

Meet Karrie Potter... also known as Smashy Smashed A Lot Posted by Picasa

I don't know what happend on Friday night. I just lost it completely and had a fan-friggintastic time. It was good to let loose and just do whatever I wanted and not give a rat's ass what anyone thought. Unfortunately, this picture is nothing compared to the other pictures that were taken of the dumbass shit I did that night.

I didn't hook up or anything stupid like that. I still need a break from boys to figure out what's going on with me. I just had no inhibitions and loved it.

You can't aim a duck to death...

So I had my first EEG in fifteen years today. I figured I had to just look bitchin' with all the probes on my head so I took advantage of having a camera phone. I had an appointment with a neurologist after the test. She thinks I have some form of inherited right temporal lobe epilepsy. At least this doc wants to find out what I actually might have. I've had neurologists most of my life and this is the first one that actually wants to tell me what form I have and what part of my brain is fucked up. I will get the results of my EEG in a few weeks. Before that I need to talk to my brother, a neice and a nephew (they all have it too) to see if they have the deja vu/ aura things where I think I'm becoming a psychic. In essence, all they really are small seizures - go figure. If they do, then I need to find out if they hear any weird sounds when it happens.

I took T to Elitch's today for his birthday. Before we broke up we had plans to go for his birthday. He initially assumed that I wasn't going to take him since we broke up but I just don't think we could cancel all of our plans that we made. I had a good time and I think he did too. It was a little awkward here and there but fun overall. It was the first time I went to the water park. It was ok - we just spent a lot of time waiting in lines to get wet. That was just silly. One of the slides I went down was rockadelic - I don't know the name but it was a straight shot down. I love that stomach flipping and holy shit I'm gonna die moment. Adrenaline is the best. Later on, we got stuck on the Twister for 15 minutes while they cleaned up puke on the red car (are they cars or trains, what?). It seemed like forever but at least we weren't suspended upside down or something nasty like that. The Mind Eraser wasn't running... argh.

It's great being back on day shifts. I feel human again.

Wash Park Crawfish Catch

Posted by Picasa

This is the sunset that we all got to watch today at Washington Park while trying to catch crayfish. I wasn't really into having to deal with the little creatures but the guys really got into it. Figures...

On My Porch Tonight...

I found this little guy stuck in a web inside my screen door. He eventually landed on my pajama pants and started climbing up. I was able to safely get him off and back outside. I know they eat the bad bugs that eat my flowers but a bug should never be crawling up your leg... feh.

I dig having a camera!

Onto other things... I'm doing better. I worked my last night shift at the hospital on Tuesday night. It sucked but it was my last one!! Yippee! Back to normal people's schedule!

Still healing. Time is good.

The walls came down...

It's official...

Thursday I went to Vincent's Memorial Service.

Today (Saturday) Tony and I broke up.

A few weeks ago a good friend and I had a falling out.

Everything happens in THREES. I'm done, right?

Is there anymore shit the world wants to throw at me right now?

Is there?!!!!

The Lake

Right before the storm... Posted by Picasa

I needed to get out of town this weekend so I went camping with friends at Lake McConaughy. This picture was taken 30 minutes before a microburst of 100 mph (so they say) winds that took out a bunch of campsites. Luckily, my friend Ben told me to dig over a foot into the sand to bury stakes to keep the tents from blowing away. Go Ben! I owe him many beers. Sand hurts at 100 mph.
